Scroll down to the Privacy section. Tap "Personalization and data".

4

At the bottom of the page, tap "Download your data".

5

Select "Activity" and choose JSON format

On the request screen, select the "Activity" category (this includes your followers and following lists). Then tap "Select file format" and choose JSON.

Confirm your request. TikTok will prepare your export and notify you when it's ready. This usually takes a few minutes to a few hours.

TikTok sends a notification in the app and an email when your export is ready. Go back to the "Download your data" page, switch to the "Download data" tab, and tap Download.

8

Upload the ZIP to followreport

Drag the downloaded ZIP file onto followreport. Your browser processes everything locally — nothing is sent to our servers.

Common questions

How long does the TikTok data export take?

Usually a few minutes to a few hours. TikTok sends you a notification in the app and an email when your export is ready to download.

Which format should I choose — JSON or TXT?

Always choose JSON. followreport only works with JSON format. TXT exports do not contain structured follower data that can be parsed.

What data should I include in the export?

Select "Activity" — this includes your follower and following lists. You don't need to include other categories like messages or videos.

I downloaded the ZIP but followreport says it can't find follower data. Why?

Make sure you selected JSON format (not TXT) and included the Activity category. If the export is in TXT format, you'll need to request a new one in JSON.
