- 4. Download the ZIP → keep it for when X support launches
Detailed steps
Open X and go to Settings
Open X, open the side menu, then go to Settings and privacy.
Open "Your account"
Tap "Your account", then choose "Download an archive of your data".
Confirm your account
X may ask for your password, email code, or two-factor code before it lets you request the archive.
Request the archive
Tap the request button and wait for X to prepare the ZIP file. This can take a while for older or larger accounts.
Download the ZIP
When X says the archive is ready, download the full ZIP file. Do not unzip it before uploading.
Keep the ZIP for future support
followreport currently supports Instagram exports only. X support is planned, so keep the archive ready if you want to test it later.
Common questions
How long does the X archive take?
Usually minutes to hours, but large accounts can take longer. X notifies you when it is ready.
Do I need to unzip the archive?
No. Keep the ZIP exactly as X gives it to you. X support is not live in followreport yet.
Is this private?
Instagram analysis runs in your browser today. X support is planned, but not live yet.
Why do I see X user IDs instead of handles?
Some X archives store follower and following relationships as account IDs. This is one reason X support needs separate testing before launch.
X support is coming soon.
Use the Instagram tracker today, or keep your X archive ready for future support.
